OUR STORY

How it started

Vista Drone UAV LLC was founded through a combination of strategic vision and deep industry expertise. With over thirty-two years of cross-sector experience, our founder, Mr. S. Sudan, identified a transformative opportunity in the rapidly expanding Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) market across the GCC.

Valued at USD 588.2 million in 2024 and projected to grow to USD 2 billion by 2033 at a CAGR of 12%, the UAV sector is reshaping how industries approach data, inspection, and operational efficiency. The UAE leads the GCC UAV market with a commanding 40% share, driven by forward-thinking government policies and national strategies for innovation and digital transformation.

Our mission is to deliver cutting-edge drone and UAS solutions tailored to the unique demands of the region—spanning agriculture, infrastructure, energy, and environmental monitoring—while also playing a key role in talent development through certified training programs.

Meet our team

S. Sudan

Founder and CEO

Mr. Sudan is a visionary business leader with over 32 years of experience across energy, mining, chemicals, and advanced industrial services. With 20 years in the Middle East, he has led strategic advisory, commercial execution, and operational leadership. He is recognized for driving multimillion-dollar projects, establishing market footholds in complex regions, and securing strategic contracts.

Currently spearheading drone and UAS innovation in the UAE through Vista Drone, Mr. Sudan brings deep regional insight and high-level stakeholder engagement. He serves on the Technical Advisory Board of AD Polytechnic, supporting their proposed cloud seeding projects utilizing their in-house designed VTOL.

Mr. Sudan holds a Master’s degree in Earth Sciences, is a certified Environmental Auditor, has completed an MBA, and is also a qualified Drone Pilot.

Shlok Srivastava

Co-Founder & CTO

Shlok Srivastava is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with over ten years of experience in petroleum engineering, operations management, and sustainable technology development. A graduate of the University of Alberta, he has led high-impact projects across the oil & gas sector, including the development of IoT sensors for remote gas leak detection, energy-efficient system design, and geothermal energy initiatives, particularly during his tenure in Canada.

As Co-Founder and CTO of Vista Drone UAV LLC, based in Abu Dhabi, Shlok leads the company’s technological strategy—advancing UAV integration for asset monitoring, inspection, and emissions reduction across key industries. His work reflects a strong commitment to innovation, sustainability, and cross-sector transformation.
